I have a background in law and am currently working on legal personhood for nonhuman animals and other animal welfare questions at the International Centre for Animal Rights and Ethics. I am also self-studying to make the transition into AI welfare work, driven by concerns about both over-attribution and under-attribution risks. Outside of this, I work as a Research Editor at the ILINA Program, an African-led AI safety organisation, where I prepare research for publication and support the programme's editorial needs.

  For an essay arguing that the Rights of Nature may serve as an alternative, nature-based pathway to advancing animal rights in jurisdictions where sentience-based arguments have struggled to gain traction, particularly within African states shaped by transformative constitutionalism.
